Farewell to the Monsoon in Goa 2025

The IMD has announced the withdrawal or retreat of the South-west Monsoon for this year, and I thought I’d share a small and quick video I made to bid it goodbye.

These are video images of the swaying palms next-door to our flat and the sea at Bogmalo Beach, which is not too far from where we stay at Chicalim, Vasco, Goa and where we often go for lunch.

I have used a small section of Chick Corea’s track, Wind Danse, which I downloaded from Archive.org as I thought it most appropriate for this subject, and I am grateful to them.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t edit the track on the Audacity App that I have on my computer, and which I have used for editing all audio for my blog videos as well as my Owl Wisdom Podcasts. For some reason this five-minute track would upload on Audacity as a just a second’s duration or so – showing it as 60 on the App, but it was most probably 60th of a second! When I tested another music track on Audacity, it uploaded fine!

This was obviously the work of unprofessional PR agency idiot bosses who just cannot mind their own business – or should I say circus – and cannot leave me alone and in peace.

Their kill-joy attempts notwithstanding, I hope you will all join me in bidding the Monsoon goodbye and wishing it will return next year.
