If there is anything that can be said about travel, it is that it is many flights at once. Across space and time, of course, but also of the imagination, of our understanding of foreign cultures, and of the spirit that we are all one of the human race.
How ironic then, that Trump should threaten to attack Iran, including its famed cultural sites. And with Iran having attacked American military bases today, who knows how far we are from cultural “obliteration”.
On a more positive note, though, hope your travels take you to many new places and discoveries this year.
