Having worked on Honda cars decades ago at Everest Advertising in Delhi, I had put down my thoughts and ideas for Honda cars as a brand way back in 2008 in Delhi. I could never execute the campaign and share them earlier on my blog because I couldn’t find the right kind of images on stock image sites. Now, I finally decided to give generative AI image tools a shot and when I discovered that Microsoft has a tool called Microsoft Designer that generates images with the help of Dall-E from Open AI, I thought it might be worth a try. These images are not exactly what I had in mind for the Honda campaign, but they help to communicate the idea adequately enough.
Honda cars are mass market cars and straddle the entire product range from compact hatchbacks to sedans, compact SUVs, MPVs and the like. What distinguishes the brand in my mind is their ability to innovate in automotive design to enhance the drive while also improving fuel efficiency. Their balance of thrill and thrift is what makes them so popular the world over. I think it’s time for Honda cars to relaunch themselves through communication and as a company, in order to establish themselves as the same popular Honda car brand that is also already geared up for new automotive technologies.

You may read my thoughts on Honda cars’ brand strategy and campaign ideas, including for their hydrogen-powered vehicle by clicking the link below.
The idea and the script for the television commercial that in a sense relaunches the Honda car brand and makes us see it in new light are in the document above. I have executed the print campaign ideas for both the Honda car brand and Honda FCX Clarity, their hydrogen fuel-cell powered car as layouts with copy and you can view them by clicking the link below.
As I say in the document and in my blog post on Honda cars, placing the Honda car brand in people’s lives and constantly reminding them of their technological and engineering prowess especially when it comes to fuel efficiency, and now, alternate fuel technologies is what will keep the brand ahead and loved in future as well.
Images used in both the Honda Cars campaigns have been generated on Microsoft Designer, and the Honda cars logo is from Wikipedia.
