How Oberoi Hotels Can Build its Brand

It is one of India’s finest luxury hospitality brands, recognised globally. Yet, it has remained media-shy and chosen not to advertise in mass media for decades, while quietly winning awards and accolades from international travellers and travel magazines.

I think the time has come for Oberoi Hotels to start communicating with its audiences, as competition from Indian and international hospitality brands intensifies, both in the domestic as well as international markets. Here are my thoughts on how Oberoi Hotels ought to position itself for the future as well as a brand campaign to help customers see it in that light.

While the ideas for Oberoi Hotels TV adverts are in script form in the document above, I have designed the layouts for the print campaign, besides having written it. I must stress that I am not a designer or art director, though. You may view the brand campaign for print by clicking the link below.

With this new brand strategy and campaign, Oberoi Hotels ought to be able to carve an exclusive niche for itself in the luxury hospitality market. And also be a true champion of Brand India, around the world.

The brand campaign layouts that I have designed uses stock images from Unsplash and Wikimedia Commons and design elements from Canva, and I am grateful to all of them.
